Before You Begin

This guide is designed to help you start “listening” to your body and noticing the subtle clues that may
influence your fertility. It’s not about searching for everything that could be wrong. It’s about
understanding what your body may already be trying to tell you and identifying patterns that could be affecting your ability to conceive.

Many women and couples are told to just keep trying; tracking ovulation, taking supplements, timing
intercourse, changing diets, switching lubricants, or waiting months for more testing and answers.

But sometimes the body is already communicating through symptoms, cycle changes, energy patterns,
digestion, sleep, stress, mood shifts, cravings, skin changes, period pain, or headaches.

As you complete this guide, pay attention to the areas where your body seems to be asking for more
support.

And remember: you do not have to interpret your results alone. If your answers bring up questions, you are welcome to schedule a call with our office to help you
review your results. And together, we can talk about what your next step might be.

May this guide help you feel less overwhelmed, more informed, and supported as you move forward in your fertility journey.

With care,
Dr. David

How to Use this Guide

For each statement, choose the number that best reflects your experience.
0 = No / Rarely / Not that I notice
1 = Sometimes / Unsure / Mildly present
2 = Yes / Often / Clearly present

At the end of each section, add your answers for a section score from 0 to 8.

After completing all six sections, add your section scores together for a total score from 0 to 48.

If you are unsure how to answer, choose the option that feels most true right now. This is not
about getting a “good” score or finding everything that is wrong. It is about listening to your body
with curiosity and noticing patterns that may need more support.

After adding your total score, go to the Reflection section to consider which areas stand out
most.
This Fertility Guide does not provide a diagnosis. It is an educational tool designed to help you
identify patterns in your cycle, symptoms, and overall health with more clarity. Your answers
may help you notice patterns, ask better questions, and understand where you may need more
focused attention.

You can use this guide as a conversation tool with our office or with your healthcare
provider to help find answers to your fertility questions.

The Fertility Clues Scorecard

1. Cycle & Ovulation Clues

Your menstrual cycle can offer important insight into your hormone patterns, ovulation, and fertile
window. This section helps you notice whether your cycle feels predictable, clear, and easy to interpret,
or whether you may need more support understanding your fertile signs.

Statement

2. Luteal Phase & Period Clues

The days after ovulation and the quality of your period can reveal helpful clues about hormone balance,
progesterone support, inflammation, and overall cycle health. This section helps you reflect on
symptoms that may be common, but still worth paying attention to.

Statement

3. Energy, Blood Sugar & Nourishment Clues

Your energy, cravings, appetite, and response to meals can offer clues about blood sugar balance,
nourishment, stress load, and metabolic support. This section helps you notice whether your body feels
steady and supported throughout the day.

Statement

4. Sleep, Stress & Nervous System Clues

Sleep and stress can influence the way your body regulates hormones, energy, inflammation, and
reproductive function. This section helps you reflect on whether your body feels rested, resilient, and
safe, or stuck in a constant state of stress.

Statement

5. Digestion, Inflammation & Whole-Body Clues

Fertility is connected to the whole body, including digestion, inflammation, thyroid health, metabolism,
immune patterns, and nutrient absorption. This section helps you notice symptoms you may have
normalized, but that could still be meaningful clues.

Statement

6. Environmental, Lifestyle, and Male Factor Clues

Fertility is not only about the female cycle. Male health, epigenetic (lifestyle) patterns, stress, sleep,
nutrition, heat exposure, and environmental factors can also play an important role. This section helps
you consider whether these areas have been fully explored or may need more attention.

Simple Interpretation

Your score is not a diagnosis.
It is a first look at what your body may be trying to tell you.
Use the ranges below as a simple starting point.

0-12: Foundational Awareness

Your score suggests you may already have several helpful fertility foundations in place. Your next step may be to refine your cycle awareness, fertile window timing, preconception health, and whole-body support so you can move forward with more clarity and confidence.
This does not mean there is nothing to explore. If you have been trying to conceive for several months or still feel unsure about timing, ovulation, your symptoms, or your next step, it may still be helpful to talk through your results.

13-24: Clues Worth Exploring

Your score suggests your body may be giving you several clues worth paying attention to. These may
involve your cycle, ovulation, luteal phase, energy, sleep, stress, nourishment, digestion, inflammation, epigenetic factors.
This does not mean something is wrong. It simply means there may be patterns that deserve a closer look.

25-48: Deeper Support May Be Helpful

You may benefit from a thoughtful, whole-body fertility plan that helps you understand what matters
most, what to focus on first, and what kind of support may be appropriate for your next step.

What Your Top Scoring Areas May Point To

Your total score is helpful, but your highest-scoring sections may offer the most useful insight.
Look back at your section scores and identify the top three areas that stood out most.
These areas, along with other information from your assessment, may give us helpful clues about what could be influencing your fertility and ability to conceive.

If Cycle & Ovulation scored highest:

You may need more clarity around ovulation, fertile signs, cycle length, timing, or whether your fertile window is being accurately identified.

This may be especially important if your cycle feels unpredictable or if you are relying mostly on an
app without confirming your body’s own fertile signs.

If Luteal Phase & Period scored highest:

You may need to explore patterns related to PMS, spotting, period quality, luteal phase length, progesterone support, inflammation, or overall hormone communication.
Period symptoms are common, but they can still provide important clues.

If Energy, Blood Sugar & Nourishment scored highest:

Your body may need more consistent nourishment, blood sugar support, protein intake, mineral support, or metabolic stability.
Energy crashes, cravings, shakiness, and caffeine dependence may be signs that your body is asking for more stable support throughout the day.

If Sleep, Stress & Nervous System scored highest:

Your body may be carrying a stress load that deserves gentle, targeted support.
When the nervous system feels overwhelmed, “always on,” or unsafe, it can influence sleep,
hormones, inflammation, digestion, and reproductive rhythms.

If Digestion, Inflammation & Whole-Body scored highest:

Digestive symptoms, inflammatory patterns, thyroid-type signs, immune stress, or nutrient
absorption may be worth exploring more deeply.
Symptoms you have gotten used to may still matter.

If Environmental, Lifestyle & Male Factor Clues scored
highest:

Male fertility factors, epigenetic, heat exposure, stress, sleep, nutrition, environmental exposures,
or lack of a clear plan may need more attention. Conception is a shared journey. Fertility isn’t just a female issue.

Your highest score is a guide, not a diagnosis. It points to patterns that may be
worth exploring more deeply, helping us better understand what your body may
be trying to tell you.
